An addition to our range is the Penderyn Peated Single Malt Welsh Whisky. The whisky is finished to impart a generous flavour of subtle complexity. Hand crafted to perfection, the unique distillation and maturation produces a single malt whisky in which a delicate spirit underlies a medium peaty character with light golden tone. This fine whisky captures THE TRUE SPIRIT OF WALES.

At premium strength (46% vol) the sweet aromatic smoke of Penderyn Peated is immediately obvious but soon vanilla, green apples and refreshing citrus notes mingle to give an array of gentle flavours that challenge even the most sophisticated palate. A medium length finish with residues of smoke and vanilla that leaves the palate thirsting for more. Supplied in a stylish and distinctive box, delivery will normally be within 48 hours.

This is a limited bottling of approximately 5,000 per year.

Bought a bottle of peated after a visit. I wasn`t expecting to much from a non scotch whisky but it turned out to be more than a match to an Islay malt. Distinctive in flavour with lingering aftertones of citrus and vanilla. I was deeply dissappointed when I finished the bottle (wish I`d bought two) Ah well Christmas coming up so I hope my wife takes heed of my not too subtle hints.

We were in England from Australia for a white Christmas. A friend (non Whisky drinker) brought this out for me to taste. Absolutely brilliant. Now enquiring if available in Oz for my fellow Malt Whisky Club members to taste.

Having been suprised that Penderyn could produce a whisky so quickly from a standing start to rival those produced in Scotland. I am astonished that they are now also able to produce a peated version which at the very least is the equal to those of Islay. Da iawn, gwaith ardderchog.
